Camaiore
The history of Camaiore is very ancient; indeed, it is thought that its current name derives from the Latin Campus Maior and was chosen as a strategic area by the Romans who had settled in Lucca.
The city is located at the foot of the Apuan Alps, in a pleasant hilly area. Camaiore recalls the style of Pietrasanta, but its straight is its ability to attract a niche tourism: indeed, it results being more attractive for international tourists.
As the rest of the cities of Versilia, also Camaiore (and Lido di Camaiore) are excellent in tourist reception: the historic center and its Gaber Festival is ready to welcome you during the summer; while the amusement park awaits the youngest in its lido (which is at a short distance from its promenade full of restaurants, trendy clubs, shops and beach clubs).
